My work combines psychoanalytic/depth psychology/dream work/internal family systems therapy along with helping people learn how to listen to the unique and creative way in which our body carries wisdom, information and unprocessed experiences. It is important for us to tell the story of what has happened to us and to have our stories held in a compassionate manner. If we already know our story and find ourselves still stuck in old behaviors, thoughts and patterns, then learning to listen and experience how our bodies hold meaning for what's still unresolved or unknown is a valuable skill.
This gentle process of listening is helpful with many issues: co-dependency, trust, action blocks, grief, relationship patterns, painful patterns of behavior, unlived desires, depression, work dissatisfaction/career, opening to love, unworthiness, spirituality, intimacy, ob/gyn issues. I support clients in coming in contact with what feels difficult inside.
I enjoy working with yogis, fellow therapists, meditators, 12 steppers, health care professionals, spiritual seekers, artists, preteens and those desiring to learn to feel, all within a slow, compassionate context that supports a person's individual way of opening. I offer clinical supervision and teach individual deep listening sessions.
