I work with ages 17 and up. I have experience treating depression, anxiety, PTSD, complex trauma, sexual trauma, gender dysphoria, and life transitions. I have additional training in complex trauma, sexual trauma, and EMDR. My general goal for clients is creating a safe space where clients can develop coping skills, heal relational trauma, and heal. I work in the LGBTQIA+ community quite a bit, and have experience with issues specific to that community. I engage clients in music therapy if it's appropriate to their treatment, and interests.
I have experience in teaching skills from CBT, DBT, and ACT, and I am EMDR trained. I also use polyvagal theory, parts work, and somatic interventions. I'm a board certified music therapist. In any modality of therapy I use I like to present it through a feminist lens. I also have a lot of experience working in the LGBTQ/gender diverse community.
I know what it's like to feel unloved, and undeserving because of a person, or people that took advantage of my trust and kindness. I also know what it's like to look in the mirror and not know who's looking back at you. Every fraction of a second a client spends living instead of surviving are why I do the work I do.
