Working with children began at the young age of 16 and has continued through all educational experiences. Children show so much emotion through their play that it is sometimes hard for the parents to catch onto their children's emotions and feelings. I hope to be that person that is there for the child/adolescent/teenager through all aspects of their life that can be a listening ear and someone they can lean on when they can't tell their family what is going on. I also hope to work collaboratively with the parents/guardians in helping maintain what is learned in the room, into the outside world.
Ages 4-17. Dealing with ADHD/ADD, Dyslexia, bullying, family transitions, and changes in the family. I will help build on coping skills, learning how to deal with difficulties that arise, and learning how to work together as a family unit when it is applicable. Diagnosing is not within my range of practice, but I can help you find resources and how to help.
As someone who sees a child and teenager's full potential, I hope I can be that person that is a resource for both you and your child. I want to be that listening ear that is able to feel all the feels and attempt to work through the difficulties you and your child are currently facing. Through work, we will build a strong and happy child.
