I have many years of varied life experience including: having lived in Chad, Africa and Italy, raised a multi-cultural, blended family, went through divorce, step-children, life transitions and family of origin dysfunction. I am a LCSW (Licensed clinical social worker) since 2006 and have been employed with Samaritan Counseling since 2014.

TRAUMA: A threatening experience that is too much, too fast. When stressed out or truly overwhelmed, our instinctual survival responses can be blocked. If unable to complete our body’s survival responses, trauma occurs and symptoms emerge. We can feel stuck in flight, fight or freeze.
