Dr. Kim is a licensed psychoanalyst, a certified therapist, and a certified spiritual counselor. Besides his psychoanalytic background, Dr. Kim also was trained intensively in living Jesuit life over thirty six years. From his psychoanalytic teachings at training Institutes and from his active Jesuit life, Dr. Kim learned the fundamental queries of clinical and existential pangs in life. Making the choice to begin therapy can be challenging. The task of working through your inner thoughts can seem daunting, but I would like to be on that journey with you. My approach to therapy is to allow my clients to guide their own sessions while I serve as a support. My therapeutic approach is psychodynamic and I enjoy helping people do “inner work”, which is to explore past experiences and to dig deep into their thoughts. I feel treatment should be individualized, because each person is unique in their needs.
