I primarily work with adults who experience emotional dysregulation, relationship issues, and an inability to cope with the stressors of everyday life. With a background in addiction counseling, I am able to support people with substance abuse and dependency; and as a former hospital chaplain, I have a passion for working with people who are experiencing difficulties adapting to life’s changes. I am intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Gestalt Therapy, blending these two therapies together I use an emotionally supportive and experiential approach called Schema Therapy.
I best support clients ages nineteen and above, and of any sex or gender and the LGBTQ community. I take a trauma-informed care approach, focusing on your natural strengths and tendencies and view counseling as an opportunity for personal discovery and growth. And this growth is a process.
