Everyone has periods in their life when they struggle, and often there are layers of contributing factors. My goal when working with people in therapy is to help them build their autonomy, whether that means finding ways to peel away the layers, build a toolkit of skills to help manage their symptoms and experiences, or find the meaning behind their struggles and reassign new meaning that works better for them. My work comes from an integrative approach, meaning I use techniques offered in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and interpersonal approaches. We work together to figure out which method works best for you, as there is no "one size fits all."
I obtained my degree in 2013, and earned my license as a Psychologist in 2014. My background includes working with anxiety, complex trauma, and crisis intervention. I consider myself to be more of a "jack-of-all-trades," and through my experience, I know two people can experience the same life event, and have completely different outcomes/experiences.
