I have practiced social work for 20 years, most of which has involved children and adults with histories of trauma and significant treatment needs. I have approximately 4 years of experience with direct treatment of children and adults in a therapeutic practice or setting and obtained my LCSW to be able to independently practice. I enjoy working with children, adults, families, and couples with regard to complex treatment needs such as trauma, conflict resolution, anxiety and mood disorders, grief, and developmental issues affecting individuals and families such as learning disorders and Autism Spectrum Disorder.

She believes in relationship-driven therapy where the client is in the driver’s seat and she is the navigator, offering directions for pathways to healing, recovery and freedom. I offer guidance and support to people dealing with emotional and mental trauma, depression, anxiety, relational issues and other life difficulties. My approach is centered on empowering clients and validating your experience, whether you are coping with recent traumatic events, grief, or life's transitions. For individuals I utilize therapeutic techniques such as Brainspotting and CBT techniques to tailor sessions to client's specific needs. For couples I am Gottman Level 1 trained. My goal is to equip clients with practical tools for navigating life's challenges and promoting healing.

My clinical skills are vast after over 30 years in private practice and 40 years as a social worker. I have worked with the military in Europe as a family therapist and participate in the Give an Hour Program here in Kentucky. I serve on several boards including the Kent School Social Work Board, and the National Association of Social Work Ethics Committee.

She received her Masters of Education with a concentration in Art Therapy and Counseling from the University of Louisville in 2006 and a Bachelors of Fine Arts, Cum Laude, from the University of Louisville in 2002.
