I specialize in working with children and families navigating emotion regulation challenges, anxiety, grief and loss and trauma. I am a Certified Trauma and Resilience Clinician through Starr Commonwealth. My approach is always client centered and based on relationships and connection, as connection is imperative to feeling safe and shifting to the space where growth happens! I am passionate about providing treatment based in relational neuroscience to children, adolescents and their families. I utilize a variety of techniques, including CBT, Solution Focused Therapy, Play Therapy, SPACE and group therapy.
I am trained in SPACE (Supporting Parents of Anxious Childhood Emotions), a type of therapy where the majority of the work in therapy is completed with the parents.
Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work extensively with adoptive and foster families/children and the educational system. My experience within the school system allows me to be able to support your family as you navigate through school refusal behaviors, behavioral difficulties at school, and the 504/IEP special education process.
