Hello, my name is Naomi Berkenbilt and I am Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I work with people who are really looking to work hard on their own healing. My therapeutic approach is to start where you are right now and focus on your goals and how to reach them. As we collaborate, my work is to help guide. From childhood and adolescents to adults and elders my focus is you.
In my work, I often start with psycho education about the polyvagal system. We use movement and breathing techniques, to learn how our bodies respond to stress. At this point we can move in many directions. I am IFS informed, and work with parts towards healing. I also support individuals through the use of exposure therapy.
I create an environment of acceptance, rich in verbal imagery. If you are ready to go deep, I can support you. Depending on your needs, we can talk deeply, brainstorm problems and work on self-regulation through movement, art, and meditation.
