I believe in therapy because I have experienced the healing power of this work in my own life. I am a Person-Centered Therapist which means I place a high value on you as an individual and how your experiences have shaped you. Under the right therapeutic conditions of safety, trust, acceptance, and positive regard, I believe you can heal from even the deepest wounds and thrive. I specialize in Child-Centered Play Therapy and children ages 2-7, but enjoy seeing individuals across the lifespan.
Areas of interest include depression, anxiety, trauma, grief & loss, nightmares, medical trauma, life transition & identity, post-partum difficulty, and childhood development. I also enjoy being a "therapist for therapists" who are experiencing burnout, compassion fatigue, and other issues related to professional development.
Starting therapy can be intimidating. Entrusting your child into the hands of a therapist can be equally nerve wracking. You might have even had negative experiences with therapists.
