Welcome! It takes courage to reach out for help, and I would be honored to work with you. I have over 25 years of counseling experience and enjoy working with individuals from diverse age groups, backgrounds, and cultures.
My career started with working with child and adult victims of violence. I utilized play therapy and EMDR techniques to help individuals process and heal from trauma. I transitioned into working with the elderly population, helping the individual and their families work towards accepting their current physical abilities, and at times, processing end-of-life issues.
Evidence-based therapies, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, offer some of the most effective tools to help us make positive changes in our lives. I view our emotional health as similar to our physical health - the more we exercise/practice CBT tools, the stronger we become.
I have experience helping people who are suffering from anxiety, depression, and unresolved trauma. I believe my greatest strength is my extensive experience in counseling diverse populations.
