You learn to talk about yourself with caring people who are like you. The other group members are supportive, warm and provide insight and compassion. In this group you finally have a safe place and the comradery of others to work on your issues. In this small support/therapy group others are like you and can get you. You are pleased to have a place to belong. This is where you openly discuss relating and express your true feelings to improve your relationship skills. You can gain new skills through observation, encouragement, and gentle feedback, Other group members can help you become aware of your blind spots in relationships and work with you to change them.
