I believe that everyone has strengths--and that everyone encounters challenges. During difficult times, I can help you find new ways of understanding what's happening, additional resources for support and enhanced coping skills that build on your existing strengths. I work primarily with adults, individually, in couples or as families.
I am an eclectic practitioner who draws from a variety of therapeutic approaches depending on your needs and personal style. I am trained to use cognitive/behavioral, psychodynamic, and family structure techniques.
Many of my clients are interested in improving their health through weight management, smoking cessation, pain management or other behavior changes. In addition, I work with people with chronic illness, their families and caregivers. I also work with trauma survivors, people experiencing grief and bereavement or who are facing death.
