Having training in psychodynamic and trauma therapy, my approach focuses on integrating mind, body, and emotions, fostering the emergence of a more unified self. This helps my clients become mindful and aware of their patterns and able to approach the change process with self-compassion.
I have advanced trauma training and am certified in EMDR and Sand Tray therapy, and am trained in Internal Family Systems, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, hypnosis, and EFT tapping. I also specialize in the impact of intergenerational trauma, and assist my clients in identifying and addressing the trauma of structural and interpersonal racism and oppression.
My objective is to help my clients release shame and fear, and be able to explore "who they were" before the trauma they experienced forced them to adapt in ways that were unnatural to them. If there is such thing as a "true self" connection, I help my clients explore blocks to this connection and allow their natural selves and inner wisdom to emerge.
