My approach is accepting, caring, confidential and non-judgmental, as well as practical and grounded. I help people to get clarity about their problems, and to connect with their own inner wisdom, creativity, self awareness, and healing. This allows for a natural emergence of positive choices, good solutions, and actions that are in alignment with their true selves and deepest desires. I work with individuals, couples, teens and families on improving communication, resolving conflicts, and developing more trust and acceptance, which helps to improve closeness and positive feelings in relationships.
I offer a specialty called Sandplay therapy. This is a non-verbal therapy for expressing ideas, impressions and feelings, using images, symbols and sand. Sometimes it's difficult to talk about our pain. Using figures in the sand can provide a way to express what is inside. Sandplay also stimulates neural connections in the brain, and activates healing.
I have experience in working with a variety of issues, including relationship issues, weight and eating issues, trauma (incest, abuse, rape, crime, accidents, ptsd, tbi), marriage, divorce, family conflict, career/work problems, spiritual issues, identity development, anxiety and depression.
