Greetings. I am a licensed clinical social worker, graduating from the UCONN School of Social Work in 2000. I have experience in the school, agency and private practice setting. Listening, helping, problem solving and healing are the tools of my practice. I am nonjudgmental and encourage my clients to become independent. Ultimately, I want my clients to become their own therapists, so they can restore themselves to health.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is my favorite treatment modality. I use CBT on myself throughout the day. It is a researched and evidence based. Positive self talk, gratitude, self love and healthy living are simple, yet profound ways of overcoming and changing the negative aspects of your life into positive ones.
