I know growing up in this post-pandemic, social media era is tough. We are seeing an epidemic of teens and young adults struggling with anxiety, OCD and depression. What should be a carefree and fun time in life, has become unbearably challenging. In my 18 years as a teacher, tutor and mentor at the community college level, I have worked with hundreds of students, focusing on building confidence and a strong sense of self. I love connecting with clients to create a therapeutic relationship that encourages healing in a warm, accepting environment.
I believe in using therapies that are supported by evidence and research. Adolescents and young adults benefit from a supportive therapeutic relationship combined with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
