The Teachers Therapist. Having been a teacher for over 10 years, I understand the specific anxieties and worries around the profession. The anxiety can seep into all aspects of your life and the relationships that surround you.
In addition to working with teachers, I work with men and women who are experiencing the debilitating effects of anxiety, depression, addiction and the breakdown of relationships. I work with both couples and individuals to explore the root cause as well as an individual's core belief system. Together we explore the benefits of change and how it can lead to thriving and not just surviving.
Together we address belief systems that are faulty, resulting in unwanted responses. I am solution focused in my practice because most clients want to start feeling better now. Working toward a goal that helps facilitate change in behavior is an expedient way to address the daily struggles and the unwanted self-defeating thoughts and behaviors.
Although I specialize in women's issues especially around relationships and life transitions, I also work with single men who are also struggling in the relationship area. Additionally, I work with couples who are experiencing relationship breakdown due to lifestyle changes and/or the breakdown of family harmony.
