I view therapy as a relational and collaborative process between counselor and client(s) that focuses on clients' personal goals and desires for change. I work with clients to understand their current difficulties, thoughts, and feelings as well as look at how their past experiences and relationships impact their current situation. Engaging in therapy has many benefits such as alleviating anxiety and dissatisfaction, learning better coping skills, improving relationships with others, increasing self awareness, and finding greater personal meaning.
I believe that the relationship in psychotherapy is central to therapeutic success and I work to provide a safe environment.
