My name is Nancy Clark, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LSCW) accepting new patients in New York State via telehealth. I have 18 years of outpatient counseling experience working with individuals and their families. I offer a gentle, open minded approach to exploring symptoms, life challenges and barriers to mental wellness. I enjoy working with a mix of various age groups and ethnicities. I have extensive experience with teens and young adults.
I strive to provide culturally responsive care to BIPOC and LGTQ+ communities. The treatment I offer is a person-centered and strengths-based approach. I incorporate evidenced based treatment strategies including but not limited to: ACT, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, DBT, harm reduction treatment and trauma informed care.
In our work together, we will honor your past struggles and barriers to healing. I will work to uncover the strengths/capacities you have neglected, forgot about or have yet to develop. In addition, we will develop coping strategies to move through daily suffering and help you connect to your values of a life worth enjoying.
