Therapy can be a very rewarding and empowering experience, particularly when it is achieved in collaboration with a trusting, nonjudgmental, nurturing therapist. I enjoy being a therapist whom people feel comfortable with and can trust to help them. My work centers around helping children (ages 3+), adolescents, and families make positive changes in their lives. I work collaboratively with parents, as they are essential in the therapeutic process. Collaboration also often includes work with schools and other professionals.
By providing a nurturing and accepting environment, I help children and families to cope with life circumstances. My clinical training is extensive and expertise is broad. It includes treating anxiety, depression, trauma, school-related problems, ADHD, depression, spectrum disorders, peer and relationship problems, and adjustment/life transitions.
My therapeutic philosophy is relationship-focused. Through a positive therapeutic relationship, we will work together to make developmentally appropriate and positive changes. I do not believe in a "one size fits all" approach and we will work together to formulate a treatment plan that's based on your child's and family's unique social and emotional needs.
