Welcome to my private telehealth practice serving clients in Washington and California. I have over 20 years of experience assisting individuals, couples and families to adjust to change and to reclaim their lives following an unexpected and/or traumatic event whether the event is recent or occurred many years ago. I have particular expertise and training in the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and related problematic coping strategies that often result from having witnessed or endured traumatic events including the cumulative or generational trauma associated with societal injustice and/or intolerance.
I am certified in several evidence based approaches to trauma including Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and I am trained in clinical hypnosis and the Trauma Resource Model, a body based approach to trauma. I am also certified in Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy.
I believe that people possess an amazing capacity for resilience, creativity, courage and caring and that sometimes we become disconnected from these qualities and the truth about who we are. I believe that therapy can help restore these connections and tap the resources that individuals and families already possess.
