Welcome to Rula and my Rula bio. This is an important step you are taking in self-care. I understand therapy can be uncomfortable, especially at first; however, I will do my best to guide you through the process and help you find what you are looking for. Your needs and goals for therapy will be defined and met. If you are not sure what you want from therapy, but just feel like talking to someone, that is perfectly okay, too. We can figure it all out as we go. My training includes psychoanalytic, psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral approaches, and couples therapy.
My client focus includes high-functioning teens, adults, and couples experiencing mild to moderate mood issues and relationship problems. Mood issues can be depression, anxiety, or panic attacks. Relationship problems can happen at home with a partner or children, in the workplace, or with family outside of the home (parents, in-laws.)
My communication style is casual and conversational. Any and all thoughts and feelings are welcome. The priority is helping you achieve the goals and aspirations you present to me. Whatever we discuss is in the service of meeting your needs.
