I believe that we are all trying our best and that we are the experts on ourselves and our families. However sometimes life brings us more than we know how to handle, and we may see symptoms of anxiety, PTSD, and unhealthy or disruptive behavior in ourselves, our relationships, and our children. This can leave us feeling frustrated, hopeless, and isolated as individuals, couples, and parents. Thankfully, therapy can help us and our children move beyond our pain, fear, and destructive behavior, and toward a greater sense of peace, happiness, and belonging.

I am trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, EMDR/trauma therapy, and I am a Registered Play Therapist & Supervisor, allowing me to work with children, adults, couples, and families, including those considering or undergoing separation or divorce. As a supervisor, I am energized by supporting developing therapists.

I work to strengthen existing bonds within couples and families to reinforce resilience and health. Going to therapy can take a great deal of courage, and I am grateful to those who have allowed me to support them in their healing. These relationships have strengthened my commitment to maintaining and modeling honesty, acceptance, and trust.

Child-Parent Relationship Training

Designed for parents who feel they have lost control as a parent, and for those who are worried about their kids' emotions or behaviors. In just 10 sessions, parents will learn to manage their children’s behavior successfully, and will also discover the keys to enhancing and strengthening the parent-child bond and as a result have more fun with their children. This play-based approach will teach skills and techniques proven effective for helping parents communicate with and discipline their children more effectively. Play & Filial Supervision Group

I currently have openings for individual, dyadic, and group supervision. Both dyadic and group supervision will be offered bimonthly for 1 hour, with the opportunity to discuss a 1.5 hour group if desired, and scheduling will depend on group preferences. Supervision will focus on play and filial therapy skills for children and teens, the person of the therapist, and practice development, and will be adapted to meet the needs and goals of the group.
