For over 30 years I have worked with a diverse range of issues and people in Austin and New Orleans. In addition to treating depression and anxiety, I have extensive experience helping people work through traumatic life events such as childhood abuse, sudden loss, diagnosis of serious illness, or social rejection and isolation.
I offer individual, couple, family and group (intermittently) therapy. I also do contracted supervision for therapists who do not have advanced licensure. I was an adjunct professor for many years at Tulane School of Social Work and I authored the book, Sexual Abuse and the Culture of Catholicism; Routledge, 2007.

Interpersonal Therapy Group
As an adjunct to individual therapy, I offer a mixed gender and sexual orientation therapy group for clients seeking social support and interpersonal learning to enhance positive coping strategies, improve communication skills, build self-esteem, increase interpersonal effectiveness, and develop new patterns of intimacy in significant relationships. Intake and screening appointments are necessary to determine eligibility before joining the group. (Note this group is currently on hold. )
