Jasmine Lopez earned her master's degree in the field of mental health counseling from Valparaiso University in Indiana. While studying at the university she completed a student internship at Samaritan Counseling Center in Michigan City, Indiana, a community-based interfaith family counseling center, where she was introduced to and worked in an outpatient counseling setting.

My personal philosophy in life is that you can do anything you set your mind to when you have the support and faith to spur you forward. Without support or a belief system, I believe it’s harder if not impossible to be a better/matured version of yourself. If you have felt stuck or felt unmotivated by life's present challenges or past hurts and pains or just overwhelmed by it all, You have a place to find that comfort, guidance, and solutions, where it was believed there, were not.

I have a passion for helping adults, teens, and children heal from trauma. Whether you're struggling with a complex trauma history or navigating through a stressful life event, I work alongside my clients to help them navigate challenging experiences, overwhelming emotions, and confusing relationship dynamics (in families or with partners). My clinical focus and passion is working with clients navigating intimate partner violence, family violence, sexual assault, abuse as a child, and other complex traumas. In recent years, I've also developed a specialty in working with parents of children with special needs.
