Announcement icon I am accepting new clients for in-person individual therapy- Masks and covid screening required. Telehealth/online services available
Have you been feeling out of control, disconnected, unfulfilled, stuck in life (job, habits, relationships, the past) or having painful emotions take over? MUV Counseling’s focus is on helping you remove the barriers to wellness and peace of mind. I specialize in helping clients overcome loss of self, anxiety, and depression in a matter of months rather than years; increase acceptance, experience the present, and live with more purpose.
MUV Counseling offers office based services, online counseling/ tele therapy, as well as Walk + Talk therapy. Walk + Talk takes your session out of the traditional setting getting us outside. Walk + Talk therapy helps reduce fear, anxiety, and feelings of intimidation some may feel when coming into an office for therapy.
As an anxiety and life transitions therapist I help you explore and make sense of stuck points by developing actionable steps, acceptance and the commitment you needs to live a life you define as worth living. If you aren't sure about therapy, call and ask some more questions- 15 minute phone consultations are free.

MUV Counseling's Groups

Walk and Talk Anxiety Group - Starting October 21'

Walk + Talk Group Therapy- happens outside with 15-25 minutes of topic or skills being introduced, followed by 35-40 minutes of walking discussion and processing. Why Group Therapy? The group process easily addresses many of the symptoms people find most difficult. Groups address the isolation we feel when we are struggling; in a group you cannot suffer alone. Groups give access to a complete support system. Groups help individuals practice skills in real time and in real life situations. Covid and Group Therapy: Individuals will be screened at each session, distance will be kept and masks worn at all times during the group.

Walk and Talk Adjusting to Medical Diagnosis

Call or email to be added to the waitlist for October 21'***. ACT for Adjusting to Medical Diagnosis is a 6 week group program devoted to helping individuals encounter their medical illness differently and pursue a full and meaningful life. What is ACT? Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a form of therapy which helps you relate differently to your anxious feelings, depressed moods, worrying mind, self-defeating behaviors, and/or anything else that causes you problems. The aim of ACT is to limit the ways these run your life. Walking will be incorporated into each group and all groups are held outdoors.
