Kingwood Counseling Center is a group of Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Licensed Professional Counselors and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, each with unique specializations to meet the needs of the community. We provide psychotherapy and counseling services to children, teens, adults and couples. You may be having difficulty in one or more relationships, struggling with the phase of life you're currently in, having difficulty achieving your life goals, grieving, or struggling to adjust to a significant change in your life. Everyone experiences life differently and from their experiences, gain strengths. My goal is to help build on your strengths along your mental wellness journey . I work with high-conflict couples, individuals, adolescents, and families. The focus of my practice is relational wellness, anger management issues, couple conflict, affair recovery/infidelity, PTSD, anxiety, depression, spiritual issues, OCD and addictions. I have an integrative therapeutic approach that includes Client Centered, Solution Focused, Emotionally Focused and Cognitive Behavioral Therapies, as well as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy with high conflict issues.

Amanda is an experienced therapist interested in treating complex trauma and autism. Her approach includes a holistic view of the client's supports, lifestyle, and nutrition as it relates to their current functioning. She has extensive training and experience in treating trauma, autism, depression, bi-polar disorder, and anxiety. She believes the brain-gut connection needs to be explored in therapy due to the gut microbiome's involvement in producing neurotransmitters. Her approach to mental health is modern and informed with the goal to treat and introduce optimal health.

Brooks Psychology: Women's Wellness. The foundation of my therapeutic approach is a combination between Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy with an implementation of Creative Arts. My sessions are forward focused in which the treatment plan is focused on areas of growth. With that said every treatment plan created is personalized for the individual based on their needs, wants and symptoms, but is catered to female oriented issues.
