I am a psychotherapist providing services to individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, deaf-blind, late deafened, and cochlear implant users across several states, including Pennsylvania, Florida, Georgia, New York, Maine, Texas, and Maryland. My therapeutic approach is systemic, collaborative, and strength-based while mindful of cultural, ethnic, and economic concerns. I utilize an eclectic approach that combines psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral techniques to help individuals leverage their support system, community resources, mindfulness, and newly acquired skills to achieve the life they envision.

Cecilla studied and graduated in psychology in her native country of Peru. After immigrating to the USA, she has earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology. She has completed AMO academy's required training and evaluation and was awarded the title of Master Hypnotherapist certification. Currently, Cecilla is pursuing her master's degree in Clinical Psychology. She believes in focusing on guiding the client to find the root cause of the mental difficulties and working together to meet desired goals.

My training as a clinician has taught me to be highly attuned to individuals' needs, with a strong desire to help individuals overcome life's difficulties. Being knowledgeable about a number of treatment modalities is essential. I specialize in treating symptoms without focusing on labels. I am trained and highly skilled. I am certified in trauma, marriage and family, couples, substance used disorders. I know asking for help can be challenging. I aim to build and maintain positive and effective therapeutic relationships built around confidence and trust.

I'm passionate about working collaboratively with all of my clients, especially: clients of all ages with autoimmune, other chronic or potential life-limiting illness; teens/college students and parents with concerns related to academic and/or behavioral issues and in strengthening relationships; clients with mood, anxiety and addiction issues; clients with grief and loss issues and clients contemplating separation and/or divorce. I can objectively mediate a separation or divorce to each parties satisfaction.
