She also holds several certifications from the Florida Certification Board. She was actively involved in restorative justice initiatives prior to entering the substance use field in 2010. Reid has experience in various levels of care but has a special place in her heart for medical detox.

Hi! I’m Robin Maier—mother, friend, therapist. My practice centers on women’s mental health. I provide integrated therapies for ADHD, depression and all aspects of pregnancy and motherhood, including prenatal anxiety, postpartum depression, infant care, miscarriage and loss. I also provide life-coaching on healthy living, parenting, relationships and weight issues. The challenges we face in various stages of life change along the way. She graduated from Barry University in 2015 with a Master of Science degree specializing in Mental Health Counseling. She is also a Certified Addictions Professional. I remember the first time that I decided to seek therapy. The fear, the anxiety, and also the desperation to be heard. It can all be overwhelming from not knowing what to expect and not knowing where to go. It can be especially difficult if this is your first time or you are an individual who identifies as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color), due to the potential stigma attached to mental health within certain communities. No matter the feeling that you are experiencing at this moment, please know that whatever you are feeling is valid, real, and normal.

My ideal client struggles with insecurities, fears, has low self- esteem, and difficulties to identify his or her strengths. He or she has fears, and anxieties, and create the worst possible case scenarios in his or her inner dialogue for situations that he or she finds threatening or challenging. Also my ideal client needs to identify strategies to better manage their time. My ideal client struggles with anxieties in his or her relationship, which could lead to codependency and anxious attachment patterns.

As our client’s minds and bodies detoxify, we begin to address the deeper roots of addiction. While addressing the physical manifestations of addiction is essential, addressing the mental, emotional and spiritual effects of addiction is also imperative. Individual, group and family therapy is offered in addition to holistic treatment methods, 12-step recovery tools and detailed aftercare planning. Every client completes our residential program with a clear path forward. We help clients find hope and launch confidently into the next phase of their recovery.

My ideal client aims to engage in an active partnership to build self-awareness and take action to make a change. I will give you feedback and challenge you, which is not everyone’s cup of tea! I work best with those suffering from anxiety, panic attacks, overwhelm, trauma, or emotional flooding. Many of my clients report that our work helped them shift from survival mode to a sense of thriving. I suggest homework; your progress is based on your willingness to practice. The ideal client for my strengths is someone who wants to learn and shift by discovering tangible skills and techniques they can use in their own lives.
