Seeking connection is an integral part of being a human being. Often times our primary relationships with family members do not provide the connection that helps us feel the love and peace that we deserve. Through the therapeutic process, we can learn about how to seek relationships and connections that can bring this happiness to our lives. Sometimes this may mean creating boundaries with family members or friends or possibly ending those relationships we deem unhealthy. Through counseling, we are able to restore ourselves and our "families." This may mean our families of origin or simply the friends that we have chosen as our family.
I use Integrative and Holistic Techniques to help: Individuals; Adolescents and Pre-teens; Families (Blended Families, Adjustment to Divorce/Separation); Parents Seeking Support; Couples: and those facing Depression and Anxiety.
I am also certified in Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). In addition, I am trained in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). EFT is a form of counseling intervention that draws on various theories of alternative medicine including acupuncture, neuro-linguistic programming, energy medicine, and Thought Field Theraphy (TFT).
