I am committed to helping clients find their voice, empowering individuals, and inspiring them to pursue their passions. I work with clients that are struggling with anxiety, body image, self-esteem, life transitions, relationship issues and disordered eating/eating disorders. My hopes are to help clients reach their goals while helping them feel empowered and moving toward a full and meaningful life, doing this through support, therapy, use of coping skills and education. I work with a variety of clientele and enjoy working with individuals and couples through transitions and conflict that may be experiencing.

Hello, and welcome to Perceptions Mental Health, LLC. My name is Duane Cordiner, and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I am trained in solution focused brief therapy (SFBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), as well as good ol’ talk therapy. I have experience working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families in the areas of anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar, grief, loss, relationship issues, as well as other general mental health concerns.

To say, “I need help,” is a tremendously vulnerable act. It might be hard to trust people or to risk opening up about your struggles. I get it. I'm here to make that process as seamless as possible. The more each of us reaches out for help, the more we normalize helping each other. I aim to create an atmosphere where you can be open about all your life experiences without judgment.

I provide psychotherapy/counseling to adults for the treatment of anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, low self-esteem, codependency and life transitions.

Adolescence can be a trying time for young people and their families. Power struggles and communication problems create conflicts that seem unresolvable. Add complications from issues like trauma or anxiety and frustrations increase. By creating honest, respectful relationships I've been able to help teens pursue independence in appropriate and healthy ways. Often communication opens and hostility fades. This has been the main focus of my practice. Working with families I have seen the benefits of strengthening couple's relationships and helping parents become their healthiest selves. Whether through managing stress or treating mental illness healthy adults make healthy kids.

As a therapist, I believe that therapy can be an extremely useful vehicle of change. Change can be obtained in a variety of ways depending on the needs & personality of each client. I emphasize listening, unconditional positive regard and respect, while providing a safe and caring environment. I focus on the individual strengths of each client, and his/her ability to manage their choices. My goal is to guide each client toward positive personal growth by providing him/her with support through therapy, coaching, education & resource sharing. These skills learned will not only be helpful between sessions, but throughout life.

Emily Wish, LLC provides evidence-based and compassionate care for people struggling with eating disorders and body dissatisfaction. We treat children, adolescents, and adults, as well as provide support to those who love them. The courage and bravery that we witness on a daily basis inspires and fuels our passion. I am interested in the intricacies, challenges, and healing of relationships which involves honest appraisal and assessment of interpersonal communications which affect the most important aspects of personhood and human interactions. I enjoy the adventure of accompanying clients as they seek resolution of the challenges of living with ourselves and others in the world. The ultimate goal, in my current understanding, is to be at peace with who we are, who we have been, and continue striving to become the person we want to be.

In my 30+ years of experience, I have worked in a variety of settings engaging in diverse practice using an eclectic approach with individualized interventions.
