I am a certified Trauma expert, who offers multiple modalities relating to trauma , as well as EMDR, Court approved Anger Management, and Couples counseling.
I thoroughly enjoy working with individuals that are interested in seeking help in change and understanding, especially if it relates to trauma . I have 12 years experience in law enforcement which has allotted me first hand experience in numerous traumatic incidents, and personal insight. With that being said, I find it incredibly rewarding and meaningful to offer education, coping skills, and understanding on how to deal with some of life's tragedies, large or small. I believe it is very common for anyone to become 'stuck' in life and need a little therapeutic push in the right direction.

I specialized in Transpersonal Somatic Psychotherapy with a concentration in Grief and Trauma .
At this time, I am exclusively a Telehealth provider for Montana clients. It is one of the most profound honors of my life the last 18 years to have people trust me with their deepest wounds and to share their journeys of courage. I have learned the importance of being lost, the language of rain and storms, and the deep echoing of the mourning howl. I believe that by allowing and accepting the mystery of loss with it's own timing, we have a chance to claim our path, our symbols. In order to become whole, the shadow and the light must be recognized, all must be explored.

My specialties are in trauma recovery (for both the individual and their families) as well as coping with chronic illness/pain.
Please use form on our webpage to be added to our waitlist. The first step toward change is always the hardest. I believe that we all are working towards a sense of purpose, wholeness, and connectedness. In my practice and my life, I am honored to have helped others find resiliency and overcome monumental obstacles to find peace and contentment in life. I use a variety of evidence-based techniques to fit individual goals. I do not have a "cookie cutter" approach but spend the first 1-2 sessions getting to know each client to develop a very individualized treatment plan.

Though I've worked with people of all ages on a wide range of issues and disorders, I find satisfaction in helping people with trauma regain their strength and confidence.
Adolescence can be a trying time for young people and their families. Power struggles and communication problems create conflicts that seem unresolvable. Add complications from issues like trauma or anxiety and frustrations increase. By creating honest, respectful relationships I've been able to help teens pursue independence in appropriate and healthy ways. Often communication opens and hostility fades. This has been the main focus of my practice. Working with families I have seen the benefits of strengthening couple's relationships and helping parents become their healthiest selves. Whether through managing stress or treating mental illness healthy adults make healthy kids.

I specialize in helping people work through depression, anxiety, relational issues, abuse, PTSD / trauma , life transitions, LGBTQ+ concerns, grief and loss.
Most likely, it took a lot of courage for you to arrive here. It requires bravery to open up to someone and be vulnerable. To say, “I need help,” is a tremendously vulnerable act. It might be really hard to trust people or to risk opening up about what you are dealing with. I get it. I'm here to make that process as seamless as possible. The more each of us reaches out for help, the more we normalize helping each other. I aim to create an atmosphere where you can be open about all your life experiences without judgment.

In addition to gender identity issues, I have a broad-based practice with an emphasis on trauma and relational work.
My practice is primarily focused on providing affirmative care for those who are exploring their gender identity – across the lifespan and along the gender spectrum. If you are seeking support around issues of gender identity, I will provide you with a supportive relationship - without expectation, agenda or judgment - within which to explore whatever questions you may be asking. My role in this process is not to define your identity for you, but to provide the space within which you can do that for yourself.

With SE, I am trained to work with all types of trauma by integrating the nervous system into the healing process.
I believe therapy is part of a journey to embrace our authentic selves, no matter our back story. Problems that we struggle with do not form our whole identity and are usually adaptations that were originally protective strategies. My intention is to assist you with connecting to your ability to heal. During these challenging times, telehealth can help you get the help you need, quickly and efficiently. My approach combines many different modalities that help clients heal from anxiety, depression, and PTSD , as well as problems caused by addiction.

Full, no waitlist, unfortunately. Please check here again, I update this listing when I have openings. I specialize in supporting those who may be creative, intuitive, neurodivergent , or “outside the box” thinkers. Your strengths and interests can be such powerful resources for healing and understanding yourself. Trauma , shame, anxiety, depression, and other challenges can make it really hard to find direction for ourselves, and can impact our relationships. As a neurodivergent and queer artist myself, I know how alienating this can feel. I also offer EMDR.

Trauma and PTSD Therapists

When should I seek treatment for trauma?

Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.

How long does trauma therapy take?

Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.

What happens if trauma is left untreated?

Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.

Can PTSD come back after treatment?

It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
