You may find yourself confused, angry, depressed, grieving, anxious, or impacted by trauma & wanting peace of mind & clarity. Some clients want to explore more deeply their sense of self. In relationship, you may find the connection strained at times, having the same arguments repeatedly, & longing to be seen, heard & understood. There is hope! I employ a mix of strategies in my work to match the needs of my clients.

I am a Certified IFS therapist and I love sharing this model with people. I feel IFS is a paradigm change in how we view ourselves and how to facilitate healing. It is not regular "talk therapy" and you only have to be willing to try something new and to focus inside. I will help guide you and we will work collaboratively in this model. I also was trained recently in Presence Psychotherapy and I feel it adds a gentle support that helps the work go deeper. As one of my clients said, "It adds a layer of safety I didn't even know was missing."

Accepting new clients at this time for in person or telehealth. Life can be challenging and full of hardships. These challenging moments may bring feelings of anxiety, confusion, depression, hurt, and shame. One of the most difficult things to do is to ask for help and support. I genuinely believe that each individual has the ability to achieve healing despite their life experiences. As your therapist I will meet you where you are at and walk beside you through the challenges you are facing. I have years of experience working with children, adults, couples, and families.

Many people notice their nervous system cycling between anxiety and shutdown—racing thoughts, chronic tension, exhaustion, or emotional numbness. Patterns like reactivity, withdrawal, people-pleasing, burnout, or recurring conflict can feel out of alignment with who they want to be, but they don't know how to escape it. The deeper need is often to understand the internal parts, physiological responses, and unmet needs driving these experiences. My work supports greater clarity and steadier regulation through an integration of IFS, polyvagal principles, and mind-body science to foster meaningful, sustainable change.

When a client comes to me, often they are overwhelmed with many emotions and do not know where to start. As we sit and talk, I learn about where these emotions are connected to. I talk about getting to the root of it where it is all connected so you can begin to heal layer by layer. We learn about nervous system calming, emotional regulation and resilience and tools that you can keep in your toolbox so that therapy does not have to be a lifelong commitment, but instead your own personal healing journey.

You’re someone in recovery who knows the addiction was only the surface. Beneath it live unresolved grief, shame, trauma, or years of disconnecting from your own needs just to get through life. You feel stuck in old patterns—overthinking, shutting down, carrying emotional weight alone—and you’re ready for something deeper than survival. You want emotional stability, purpose, and the ability to trust yourself again. You want to feel whole, aligned, and capable of building a life that finally feels like yours.

I have a perspective that is unique. With years of experience in psychotherapy, an analytical approach to making meaning of the world, and my deep experiencing with the existential side of life- I offer guidance and support that is balanced, direct, and action oriented. There are many times we need a safe space to be held in order to reach deeper emotions that lead to healing, however being seen and understood is not always enough to bring about the changes that will truly change your life. Being seen and held are just some pieces of the journey to a more fulfilled and meaningful life.

Female Therapists

Does it matter what gender my therapist is?

In general, there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or because they feel more comfortable with a therapist of their own gender due to shared life experiences or perspectives. Considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender may matter or improve their therapeutic experience. The most important consideration is that a client is able to build a trusting relationship with their therapist.

Should I see a female therapist?

Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist. For women, this could be because they believe that they will be able to better connect with a woman, and that a female therapist will be able to relate to their specific challenges and personal issues. It may be particularly beneficial for women to see a female therapist, for example, for gender-specific issues, such as sexism in the workplace, relationship issues, and gender roles. The most important factor in therapy is the client-therapist connection, and a therapist's gender as well as many other factors may play an important role in this.

Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?

Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.

How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?

It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
