Whether we're working on professional stressors, pregnancy related issues, ADHD struggles, mood concerns, or anything else that is making life more difficult for you, we start our work by identifying those concerns and how they're effecting you.
Whether individuals are struggling with depression, anxiety, psychosis or other severe mental health symptoms, trauma, legal issues or anything in between, I’ve learned that everyone wants to live their best life and generally be happier. Unfortunately sheer force of will is not usually enough to help them get there and they need a little help and support in the process. I also have a passion for helping working professionals such as medical professionals and other therapists who often feel like loved ones simply do not understand the pressures they experience have a safe place to discuss, get support, and decompress.

Life can feel incredibly heavy when you’re navigating the invisible weight of mental health symptoms, a medical diagnosis, the roller coaster of infertility, or the "supposed to be happy" fog of the postpartum period.
Instead of fighting against your thoughts and pain, we’ll learn to change your relationship with them so they no longer run the show. We focus on what truly matters to you, using your values as a compass to build a life that feels meaningful, even in the face of difficulty.

I’m extra passionate about working with teens, queer folks, child-free individuals, new parents, trauma, pregnancy, and couples.
Hello! You’re here! Yay! By the time we start looking for a counselor, life can already be feeling pretty heavy. Maybe you’ve experienced a loss and haven’t had the space to grieve. Maybe you’ve been on autopilot and you're exhausted. Maybe you’ve lost connection with your values, your needs, or even yourself. Maybe you’re not sure if therapy is the right fit for you—and that’s okay too. You’re not alone, and you’re in the right place. Our work together will start with building a relationship grounded in safety, trust, and connection. From there, we’ll work together to create a life that feels more authentic and aligned.

What are the most effective ways to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns?
The most effective way to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns is by finding a therapist who has prior experience helping other patients overcome the challenge being faced. For example, a marriage and family therapist may have experience helping couples adjust to their new relationship dynamic. An anxiety specialist may have experience helping with phobias or illness anxiety related to the child’s health. A depression specialist may have experience treating postpartum depression.

When should I seek treatment for prenatal or postpartum concerns?
Pregnancy and the postpartum period involve intense physical and mental changes; a degree of upset and instability is normal. However, if these changes impair daily functioning, it may be time to seek help. This distinction is pertinent for postpartum depression: A period of teariness, irritability, and distress is difficult but normal in the one to two weeks after childbirth (sometimes called the “baby blues.”) But if feelings of sadness and hopelessness persist beyond that period, the person should seek treatment.

How do I manage worries during pregnancy or the postnatal period?
A therapist can help patients develop the tools they need to manage anxieties during or after pregnancy. Cognitive behavioral therapy can help people identify and reframe harmful patterns of thought, and change their behaviors. Other techniques and skills can allow people to develop acceptance, psychological flexibility, self-compassion, communication skills, and more.

Are there specific medications for postpartum depression?
In 2019, the FDA approved the first medication designed to treat postpartum depression. The medication is called brexanolone and is delivered intravenously by a medical professional over the course of a few days. However, typical antidepressants, which are more accessible, can also treat postpartum depression. The disorder is often best treated through a combination of medication and therapy.
