Whether this is your first experience with counseling or you are a well-seasoned participant in psychotherapy, starting a new therapeutic relationship can feel overwhelming. In our time together, you can expect a safe, supportive, and accepting space that nurtures healing and personal growth. I use an integrative approach that is person-centered, mindfulness-informed, and focused on meaning-making. I also utilize cognitive and behavioral approaches to collaboratively develop new ways of relating to thoughts, coping, and regulating emotions. My approach is holistic, attending to mind, body, and spirituality.

I spend most of my time working with adolescents and young adults learning to cope with and understand symptoms of anxiety and depression, managing ADHD, supporting self- advocacy, learning self- regulating skills and living with trauma. Although this is my primary age group, I believe our fit of personality and ability to trust is most important and work with all age ranges.

My ideal client is someone who’s ready to engage in meaningful change. They may be navigating trauma, anxiety, burnout, or relationship struggles, and they’re seeking clarity, balance, and healing. They want to break free from patterns that no longer serve them and build a life that feels authentic and fulfilling. Together, we create a safe space to explore these challenges, foster self-awareness, and develop tools for resilience, so they can move forward with confidence.

I support my clients in exploring what their "healthiest best self" might look and feel like. We work together in visualizing this, and identify challenges that may hinder progress. We use different modalities to process attachment disruptions and traumas that may be causing distress. We work to reframe old narratives that are no longer serving the client, into more supportive affirming perspectives. These perspective shifts help clients become closer to their "healthiest best self." I love to work with clients who are motivated for change, able to be self reflective, and are willing to try new things to get new results.

Hi there! I’m a LCSW with a heartfelt passion for walking alongside people during life’s most challenging times. While, I specialize in grief, loss & trauma recovery...Ultimately, the core of my work is a deep belief in your inherent goodness and worth. I see people as doing the best they can with the tools and experiences they’ve had—and I truly believe that healing and growth are always possible. Many of the struggles we carry were once wise, adaptive ways of surviving and coping. When we meet those parts of ourselves with compassion and curiosity, new possibilities for healing naturally unfold.

I enjoy working with adults who suffer from grief and loss, trauma, and sport-related performance issues. To help overcome these challenges, I take a collaborative approach that focuses on understanding the problem to determine how best to resolve it. I believe that humans have a large capacity to be autonomous and self-directed. Thus, as a psychologist I help my clients realize this potential, promoting adaptive ways of coping, and work myself out of job as a result.

You’re here because something has to change. The same fights, the same distance, the same hurt—it’s exhausting. Maybe you’ve tried talking it out, ignoring it, or starting fresh, only to find yourself stuck in the same painful cycles. You’re starting to wonder if things will ever get better, if “love” is enough, or if you’re just too different to make it work. This disconnection, resentment, and silence—it’s all weighing on you. Maybe you’ve tried what feels like everything to help, but nothing has made a difference. You don’t just want to “get by”—you want to feel close, understood, & secure. But right now, that feels out of reach.

I have a few daytime, in-person openings available in July 2025. I am newly licensed for telehealth in Idaho, too! Imagine a world where growing up was easy and adulting was just as simple? Everyone had high self-esteem, angelic behaviors, no trauma, and no regrets. Heck, we even had breezy work and home lives and uncomplicated relationships. Unfortunately, we do face hard things. Therapy is a way to get help, guidance, build skills, and find relief as you walk through the daily challenges of life. Are you ready for change? I bet you are!

When I reflect on what being a therapist means to me, the words that come to me are hope, healing, connection, and wholeness. The entire reason that I am a therapist is to help my clients discover that these do not represent mere words, but signify real experiences. I desire that each person I encounter in my work to experience all that life has to offer. However, I recognize that living in this world is not easy, and there is suffering, loss, trauma, disconnection. These experiences, though incredibly difficult, can also be the impetus and foundation of profound and transformative healing.

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors.

Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?

Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.

Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

How much does therapy cost?

The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, a therapy session in the United States could cost between $100 and $200 or more. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.

What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?

Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.

Are therapy sessions confidential?

Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship. Therapists in the United States are bound by the regulations set out by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), which aims to protect sensitive health information. With very few exceptions, a therapist will only discuss their client with others when the client has given their written permission. The instances in which a therapist would be required to disclose personal information are: if a client poses a danger to themselves or others, if the therapist suspects the abuse of a child or an elderly or otherwise dependent adult, or if they are legally forced to by court order. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed with a client before their first session.
