I believe trauma and stress can cause us to disconnect from ourselves and others and without connection, we cannot heal. Therefore the work I do with clients focuses upon healing emotionally, cognitively, socially, and physically. As these domains within heal, we can work on reconnecting with ourselves and others, allowing for our full, unfragmented, real, and genuine selves to emerge. Concepts related to reconnecting with authentic self and others are central to the work I do with all clients, including those suffering from symptoms related to anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, disordered eating, and postpartum depression.

What's wrong? . . . I don't know . . . This is a common conversation parents and children have. "I don't know" can leave everyone feeling frustrated and hopeless. The full range of emotions are overwhelming and it is understandable this is their response. I hope to offer a safe space, for children and teens, to feel respected and supported as they navigate their parent's divorce, transitions in school, friendships, or being a member of the LGBTQIA+ communities. There are also opportunities for parents to participate through parenting education, co-parenting classes, and joint sessions with their children.

We are all wired for relationships and we long to connect with the people we love. Our relationships with those around us affect the way we think and feel about ourselves and our world. Eventually, we develop habitual patterns of thinking that influence our emotions, behaviors, and even our physical experience. Sometimes, these patterns become problematic, cause us distress, and keep us from reaching our goals.

In life, change is inevitable. Sometimes we want it, and sometimes we don't. Sometimes it comes easy, and sometimes it's among the hardest thing we'll ever try to do. Themes central to experiencing change include tolerating uncertainties, having safe supportive others who can witness and support change, and having choice on the kinds of support needed to make sustainable change. I'm pleased to offer Psychotherapy to residents in the State of Montana, as well as Programs and Collective Healing Communities.

Are you ready to make a change? Do you feel like there might be something more for you in this twisty-turny life? Can't quite find the words? It is important that you be at the center of your own healing and transformation, which may incorporate a mix of methods - some of which involve less verbal language and more movement. While many life transitions can include feelings like anxiety and sadness, there's also space for laughter and a sense of fun. You may gain new perspectives on issues that have plagued you for years. This sense of freedom and authenticity can open new possibilities in all areas of your life.
