I offer therapy sessions in person or online via secure video, available Monday through Thursday.
Life can feel heavy and uncertain, especially when anxiety, self-doubt, or complicated relationships take over. You may find yourself overthinking, feeling like you're “too much” or “not enough,” and longing for peace and direction. I work with women in their teens, 20s, 30s, and beyond who are navigating anxiety, identity, faith questions, burnout, or family and relationship challenges. My practice is trauma-informed, compassion-focused, and faith-integrated—blending evidence-based therapy with space for your story, values, and spirituality if you desire it.

Limited In-person availability: Tues/Thur 8 AM-2 PM, in Hernando.
You’re used to holding it all together, but inside, it feels exhausting. You may be constantly overthinking, feeling on edge, or wondering why things feel so hard when it seems like they “shouldn’t.” You don’t have to figure it out alone. I help clients in Mississippi slow down, make sense of what they are feeling, and start to feel calmer, less overwhelmed and more like themselves again. I primarily work with women who are navigating anxiety, trauma, burnout, parenting stress, and the pressure of trying to do it all.

I’m so glad you’re here! Reaching out for support takes courage, and seeking counseling is an important first step toward change. Counseling should feel supportive, collaborative, and focused on real progress—not just coping, but growing from the abilities you already have. I work with children, teenage girls, and college-aged women, helping each individual navigate anxiety, depression, self-esteem, life transitions, and relationships. I also support mothers managing stress and burnout, helping families build skills, improve communication, and refocus on what helps them navigate life most successfully.

Do you know that feeling of “I’m not good enough?” You’re not alone, we’ve all had that feeling at one time or another. But sometimes, that feeling lingers for far too long. It can take over your life, causing problems in your relationships, anxiety in your daily world and making you withdraw from your friends and family. A feeling of depression or anxiety overcomes everything else in your life.

Meeting competing life demands can tax anyone’s mental resources. Sometimes we are stretched beyond our capacity to continuously cope on our own. Each of us has found ourselves in need of support, guidance, or an objective sounding board to create, clarify, and realize personal goals. Therapy is one of the most loving and kind things you can do for yourself. It is a positive step that you have taken just to begin to seek someone who can help in your search for balance, understanding, and peace.

There are times in life when the grips of despair, brokenness, and shame tear us down. When hardship, loss, conflict, and confusion disconnect us from ourselves and others. When our thoughts, our feelings, our choices, and our relationships all seem to be burdensome. When we feel stuck. We know we need help, we need change, we need health; but we have no idea what to do or where to find it. Finding trusted support during these seasons of life can be difficult, but the reward for facing these struggles can be immense.

I offer sessions in-person and online (if appropriate for the individual).
As emotional beings, we all have the same desires and fears for our relationships. We want to feel valued and accepted and avoid rejection and shame. These basic human needs can cause us to stay too long in unhealthy relationships (personal and professional), and oftentimes, turn us against ourselves in the form of self destructive behaviors and damaged self worth. As a counselor, my goal is to help empower individuals to examine their thoughts and behaviors so they can understand what is theirs and let go of what is not. "Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate" -Carl Jung

I am excited to begin offering services both in person and virtually in August of 2025 at Selah Counseling Services, LLC in Olive Branch.
I enjoy helping adults and older adolescents struggling with trauma, mood disorders, depression, anxiety, grief, adjustment to the unexpected things in life, and more. Often, simply feeling truly and empathically heard, understood, and validated is quite healing on its own. I love to offer these things as well as helping to build tools for grounding and calming, coping, and moving beyond the hurdles. Sometimes this means mastering new skills and sometimes it means learning to let go of what holds us back.

FAQ - About In Person Therapy
What are the benefits of in-person therapy?
In-person therapy offers several benefits that some people find highly valuable for their mental health treatment. Being present in the same room as your therapist can create a stronger sense of connection and allow for more nuanced communication through body language. Some people may also find it easier to focus in therapy when they are in a dedicated space and away from potential distractions related to home or work; attending an in-person session provides a clear boundary between therapy time and the rest of your life. For certain therapeutic approaches, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), exposure therapy, or somatic therapy, being in person may be particularly important, as these therapies benefit from the therapist being able to observe and respond to a client’s physical cues effectively. Additionally, some individuals simply feel more comfortable discussing sensitive or painful topics when they are face-to-face with their therapist rather than on a screen.

When should I choose in-person therapy over online therapy?
In-person therapy may be a better choice when you need a structured therapeutic environment separate from your daily life, when you find it difficult to focus or feel comfortable in an online setting, or when privacy at home is a concern. It may also be more appropriate if you are dealing with severe mental health symptoms that require close monitoring or if your therapy involves approaches that rely heavily on observing physical cues. On the other hand, if convenience, scheduling flexibility, or access to specialists outside your immediate area are priorities, online therapy may be a better fit. Many therapists offer both options, so you can also discuss with a provider which format might work best for your specific situation.

How do I find an in-person therapist?
You can use Psychology Today's therapist directory to find an in-person therapist in your area. You can search by location, insurance accepted, specialty areas, therapeutic approaches, and other criteria to narrow down providers who meet your needs. Each therapist profile includes information about their credentials, areas of expertise, and whether they offer in-person sessions. Once you have identified potential therapists, you can contact them directly through the directory to schedule an initial consultation and determine whether they are a good fit before committing to ongoing treatment. When reaching out, it can be helpful to confirm their availability for in-person appointments, their office location, and whether they accept your insurance.
