Kimila is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Mississippi. She obtained a bachelors degree in Psychology from William Carey University and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. Her office is in downtown Gulfport where she uses a unique and individually tailored blend of cognitive behavioral and client-centered therapy to provide therapeutic services to children, adolescents, adults, and families.

I have 20 years of clinical experience working with a variety of populations including women in crisis, couples, children and adolescents. I'm skilled in helping clients sort through a multitude of personal and mental health issues including depression, anxiety, adoption and infertility, substance use disorders, stage of life challenges, family conflicts, and other mood and personality disorders. I'm also proficient in helping clients navigate the trauma of childhood abuse, domestic violence and sexual assault. I happily serve clients from all backgrounds, yet have a specialized interest in the hearts and minds of Black women.

I am a LPCC counselor, licensed in Colorado, providing strength-based and trauma-informed counseling to adult clients of all ages. I earned my master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling for Schools and Communities from Penn State University, and I have worked in free clinic settings, college counseling settings, and a private practice setting since that time.
