Sometimes you know something is not right, but you don't quite know what. You may feel stuck, anxious, depressed, struggle in relationships or keep finding yourself in the same difficult situation. Though you might understand what is happening, you find it hard to change. While a diagnosis can help describe what we are experiencing, it fails to explain why we struggle, or why we keep repeating certain patterns. Therapy can help make sense of what lies beneath these patterns and what may be getting in the way of you living your life to the fullest.
Therapy is a place to slow down and learn what is happening beneath the surface. The work of therapy includes developing a sense of safety; creating a space to say things that may be difficult to say elsewhere; repeating and working through past or recurrent issues; and building up resilience, confidence and our ability to work on problems independently.
As someone who has undergone therapy, I know the vunerability and value of being listened to deeply. Whilte taking the first step can be difficult when you've been struggling and have felt misunderstood in the past, it can be valuable. You don't need to know exactly what is wrong before reaching out; we can begin with whatever brings you here.

Treatment Approach

Types of Therapy

  • Psychoanalytic
  • Psychodynamic
"
While I might consider my approach psychodynamic/ psychoanalytic, I try to listen to what you need in the moment to help you move further rather than relying on a specific modality or school of therapy. A lot of schools of therapy branched out from the psychoanalytic approach I study, making me comfortable with a wide variety of modalities for therapy.
