Morris Cohen
Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LCSW
Morris Cohen is not currently accepting new clients.
My philosophy is simple: The mind and body is designed to heal itself, and it needs only the proper awareness and fine-tuning in order to achieve this. I use a collaborative, eclectic approach that draws from many disciplines including, but not limited to psychodynamics, attachment theory, cognitive-behavioral therapy, EMDR, evolutionary biology, philosophy, and energy psychology (EFT).
For over 20 years, I have worked with adults, children, families and couples in helping them stay grounded, tell their stories, and heal themselves from the various traumas and difficulties of modern life.
I have held positions in inner-city pubic schools, first as a teacher, then as a community-based social worker/psychotherapist. I am formerly the Mental Wellness columnist for DNAinfo.com. Currently, my practice is full. However, feel free to check back in as scheduling can be fluid.
