My name is Moriah Miranda and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has enjoyed working in K-12 Schools for the last 20 years. I have expanded my practice to include working with adults facing various life challenges and transitions. I have an interest in working with people who want deep healing from trauma via Brainspotting. I am comfortable working with adolescents, teens, and adults who want support and healing. I have experience in restorative practices and believe in bringing people together to repair harm. I also work with people impacted by grief, trauma, depression and anxiety and social and emotional struggles.
My approach to therapy varies depending on the client I'm working with and the challenges they are facing. I often use an eclectic approach that includes any combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy/Focused Mindfulness/Solution Focused Therapy/Positive Psychology and Somatic Brainspotting.
I see myself as an empathic listener who really tries to hold space for people, calmly and without judgment. I am also honest and direct and emphasize the importance of Assertive Communication as an important tool in relationship development.
