I provide teens and adults a non-judgmental space to work through challenging and “messy” experiences such as anxiety, panic, depression, relationship issues, and disordered eating. Rather than grabbing the Clorox and trying to “fix” things, I help clients explore how and why their symptoms came to be. As clients better understand themselves, they often feel profoundly relieved and have greater capacity to try out new ways of managing challenges. Ultimately, I hope to help clients make peace with their complexities so they can feel and act more wholly themselves.
I also provide therapy to clients specifically struggling with disordered eating and body image issues, which often serve as means of control amidst overwhelm. In these cases, I integrate additional cognitive and behavioral approaches, while also upholding Health At Every Size principles.
