I consider it a great honor to be invited into someone's life to help facilitate hope and initiate change. I strive to offer a safe, non-judgemental and warm therapeutic environment where my clients can grow, gain insight, and find hope and peace. I believe counseling is a collaborative relationship between the client and therapist, where trust and rapport is built as the foundation.
In addition to my training in play therapy, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based trauma treatment modality and can be used in conjunction with play therapy with children. I am a Registered Play Therapist and have had extensive and ongoing training in child therapy.
In addition to working with children, I also work with adults for a variety of issues including trauma, childhood attachment disruptions, mood disorders and parenting. With over 15 years of experience, as a social worker and a counselor, I have a range of experience working with children, families and adults. It would be an honor to meet you!
