I believe the goal of therapy is for clients to gain personal insight and understanding of themselves. When individuals understand themselves, they are able to change the way they respond to situations and grow into their fullest potential. I use emotional focused and somatic techniques to guide clients to gain insight through experience. As a counselor, I help clients practice and experience mindfulness and other techniques for self-regulation. We don't have to be victims of our emotions or our past experiences. Through counseling, my aim is to walk with clients as they integrate past experiences with personal meaning and purpose.
I enjoy working with a diverse group of individuals. Client who are ready to work and create change will get the most out of treatment. I am especially well-equipped to work with individuals seeking counseling due to trauma, abuse, relational issues, social skills training, parenting challenges, disordered eating, addiction, fear, and life transitions.
Let's chat; I want to help you find a therapist who is a good fit.
