The ups and downs of life can cause issues, which if not addressed, can cause mental health problems. Therapy is a place to learn how to transform our internal dialogue during those challenging times in our life. It can mean confronting what we have typically avoided, in a safe and reaffirming environment where science-based interventions reinforce resiliency. I believe that empathy and compassion combined with evidence-based interventions can help you develop coping skills that facilitate growth to your person-centered goals. I use a gentle, non-judgmental, but direct approach, and provide a confidential and respectful environment.

I work with youth and adults with an array different obstacles to overcome. I can help clients with school-based behavioral issues, grief/loss, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, foster process for children (we adopted our 7 month old-previous foster baby), family therapy, trauma, adjustment disorders, and parenting. I am EMDR, CBT, & DBT trained.

Change is a hard process to engage in and it takes a lot of courage to reach out and find help! I work the clients who may be struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD, or trauma related to their environment. During initial sessions, I complete their biopsychosocial to get a bigger picture when collaborating to create their person centered treatment plan. With children and teens I use crafts or games. Most of my clients see improvement within a few sessions and improved daily functioning.
