I am a sex-positive, trauma-informed, psychodynamic and client affirming therapist who specializes in depression, anxiety, interpersonal boundaries, relationships, work-life balance, and family of origin issues. I work with adults in individual or relationship therapy. I have a wide variety of clientele, including those who are LGBTQIA, CNM/Polyamorous, and BDSM/Kinky. I have experience working in community mental health, private practice, and in smoking cessation and psychosocial rehabilitation groups. Boundaries, Expectations, Assertive Communication and Self-Esteem are some of my favorite topics to discuss in therapy.
I will work with you in our first 3-4 sessions to get to know you, and help in establishing goals. My goals are to listen and provide compassionate space for you to begin sharing what may be uncomfortable or difficult feelings. In these first weeks we can also determine if we are a good fit.
Many of my clients have had previous experiences in therapy, and come in ‘looking for the right fit.’ Having a good fit is important in therapy for being comfortable and establishing a trusting relationship. If we are a good fit, that’s great! Otherwise I believe strongly in you finding who works best for you, and provide referrals.
