My ideal clients are, but not limited to, children, teens, adults, and families both in and out of fostercare and/or who have been adopted. I work with those who are struggling with feelings of worry, isolation, worthlessness, and hopelessness—clients who want to work to develop goals in order to better their mental health and overall well-being. Clients should be motivated and ready to work, as well as, be open-minded, flexible, and adaptable. Change is a process, but it is necessary to make progress. From our sessions, my client will be encouraged to focus on what motivates them for change rather than what discourages them.

I provide my clients with a Person-centered and Strengths-focused form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Change depends on the relationship formed in the counseling office. If it is a positive relationship where both of us contribute to the overall goal, then positive change will flourish.
