Feeling overwhelmed from depression, PTSD or anxiety can negatively affect your job, your confidence and your ability to be present on a daily basis. You might be thinking - "Nobody knows what I'm going through" - or have thoughts telling you - “You are not good enough.” Maybe you've felt lost and hopeless. "I am passionate about providing evidence-based treatment that is flexible, compassionate, and individualized. I believe in a strengths based approach, viewing each client holistically as opposed to focusing solely on a diagnosis. I believe everyone comes to therapy as a unique human being with a unique issue, and that a compassionate therapeutic relationship is imperative in the process of change. I view therapy as an exercise in being human, one that helps people live more fully and flexibly. I believe everyone is capable of achieving the life they want, one that is more closely aligned to their individual goals and life values."

They come from new experiences and insights, and getting support to try new behaviors in a supportive context. Intense emotions; urges to engage in impulsive behaviors; navigating social situations and the stress of school; difficulty getting along with parents; the politics of Snapchat, etc! The instability of this time of life offers both challenge and opportunity. Do you worry too much or avoid situations that make you uncomfortable? Anxiety is very common in children, teens, and adults. Two out of ten children experience anxiety that is significant enough to interfere with their lives. Exposure therapy, a type of CBT, has been shown to be the most effective therapy for anxiety. Learning and practicing mindfulness skills can also be very helpful for children, teens, and adults with anxiety."
